Gel Breaker Tubes是一個(gè)0.5 mL的管，有四個(gè)10μm的孔，用于破碎丙烯酰胺和瓊脂糖凝膠片。將凝膠切片放置在破膠管內(nèi)，然后將Gel Breaker Tubes堆疊到2mL微凝膠管中。以14000rpm離心使凝膠移動(dòng)通過孔，使凝膠碎裂。然后可以加入水或緩沖液以洗脫DNA或RNA。碎片狀的凝膠片足夠小，1 mL移液管j端可以拾取凝膠片，從而可以輕松地轉(zhuǎn)移到5μm的過濾管中。

The gel breaker tube is a 0.5 mL tube with four 10μm holes designed to fragment acrylamide and agarose gel slices. The gel slice is placed inside the gel breaker tube which is then stacked into a 2 mL microfuge tube. Centrifugation at 14,000 rpm allows the gel to move through the holes, fragmenting the gel. Water or buffer can then be added to elute out the DNA or RNA. The fragmented gel pieces are small enough that a 1 mL pipet tip will pick up the gel pieces, allowing easy transfer to the 5μm filter tubes.
